about

Happiness' lyrics are the last part of a poem "Onni" by Lauri Viita, a great Finnish mid-century poet. "A narrow path from the well to the door is growing grass. By the window a dead standing apple tree. A bag pack hanging beside the door, a bird's nest within. When I am dead summer will go on."

lyrics

Kaita polku kaivolta ovelle
nurmettuu.
Ikkunan edessä
pystyyn kuivunut omenapuu.
Reppu naulassa ovenpielessä,
siinä linnunpesä.
Kun olen kuollut, kun olen kuollut.
Kesä jatkuu. Kesä.
